STOP BEING BORRING

How many times I've seen people complain...MAAAN I'm getting so little YouTube Views...and when I ask: give me your video it is something like "Hello I'm Matt from mattblabla.com..." What the...? Try to be different. Even being stupid is more interesting than being boring. C'mon!

how do you keep a person's attention?

It's all about creating emotions!

The viewers must feel something when they watch your video. If there are no feelings flowing then they will just close you and your boring video.

Even for an "Informational video" they need to feel getting smarter (realizing something) or getting inspired to do something.

You Go First

There is an old rule in psychology: "You go first", which means that if you want to make someone feel something, you must first create that feeling in yourself.

Want to inspire others?

First inspire yourself, read quotes, watch motivating video clips, peak performers, athletes.

Want to keep high energy?

Do your max pushups before creating a video, run around the house, give a high 5 to your family or friends, do something that will get your energy high.

Don't worry much about the other things; just feel the emotion inside you and everything else will align with that... Your voice, your body language... they will all convey strong EMOTIONS and that will always keep the viewer's attention.
